After the delightful lesson about being “in heaven,” I understood that during Book Expo America, I was to maintain as high a connection with the Divine as possible, holding the intention of “being blessing.” I did feel highly connected, as though my vibration were raised during the five days of the Book Expo, so it did not surprise me that there were two groups of people who seemed “drawn” to me, and I to them.
One set of new friends was from the Center for Taweel Studies, where they practice and teach mystical Islam, basically Sufi-like teachings, including union with the Divine, or Self-Realization. Beautiful souls, this small group of lovely “instant” friends was originally from Sudan, but are now scattered into other countries. Our sense of truth and spirituality were essentially the same at the core. They were present because one of them, Youssef Badreldin wrote a wonderful book called The Fallacy of the Islamic State. Badreldin taught me that the word “Islam” simply means “submit to Allah,” or in English, “submit to God.” That is the core activity of any and all religions, as far as I can tell. Of course, how we understand God makes a difference. They clearly understand God as loving, peaceful, and creating unity among human beings. A few of them actually purchased my book, for which I am immensely grateful.
The other group of people with whom I experienced a mutual attraction were the folks from Gita Publishing, specifically Anita and Naresh, a lovely, gentle, and humble couple who, upon meeting me, asked me to give a copy of my book to their guru, Dada.
I thought to myself, he’s a guru – he doesn’t need a copy of my book! But they were so beautiful and sincere, that of course I signed a copy of my book and gave it to him. I had felt led to write blessings channeled from the Ascended Masters for everyone for whom I signed a book, but I really struggled with the idea of how to write a blessing for a God-Realized master!
The next thing I knew, these lovely souls who had just met me said they would like me to write a biography of Dada! I thought, you just met me! How can you know that? I felt deeply honored and happy at the thought.
The next day, dear, sweet Anita and Naresh returned, and told me that they were holding my book so that I could give it to Dada myself, and that they would like me to meet him after the expo, perhaps Sunday evening in New Jersey. I just decided to go with the flow and to feel non-attached to the whole process, letting happen whatever would happen.
One of the two other highlights of the expo was connecting with individuals who were interested in my book, and for whom I channeled blessings, or did miniature healings! There were a lot of hugs and tears in most of these situations, and a whole lot of Divine love. What a beautiful opportunity to bless and be blessed by lovely souls connecting on this journey.
The final main highlight was that, along with the fun of meeting other self-published authors, I did meet a few publishers, a literary agent, and a best-selling author who gave me the name of the publisher who discovered Neal Donald Walsh. Connections just flowed as needed, apparently.
What a blessing to be present at the Book Expo and to meet so many people whom I ordinarily would never meet! I am so glad I attended, and grateful to God and to my niece and her husband for graciously hosting me in their home (and on the train to-and-from the city). God’s infinite blessings appear in so many different forms; may we have the eyes to perceive them, and the will to be a blessing to others.
Love and Light,
