Reflecting on my birthday on Sunday, December 1st, perhaps the most important choice I can make in response to my fifty-fifth birthday is to give thanks. I give thanks that I had a wonderful day, and wonderful people with whom I could share my day. I give thanks to everyone who has ever supported me in any way (often in many ways) so that I could still be here today, and that list of people is really long! Thank you!
I meditated a long time this morning, hoping to re-attain the immense sense of bliss which I felt the previous Sunday. I didn’t quite make it to that exceptional spiritual high (probably partly because I was aware of time pressures for making a deep-dish cheesecake to share with family and friends later, as well as seeing a client to whom I really wanted to be available for energy healing, even on my birthday). However, I did settle quite contentedly into the affirmations: Love, Peace, Bliss; I AM this. I AM. (Repeat.) One can also say: Love, Peace, Wisdom, Bliss; I AM This. I AM. Nothing I know is better than feeling the energy of these divine aspects within oneself.
I also feel content that, while my life and I have both been so imperfect in so many hurtful ways, I have accomplished some little bit of good, I have helped some people, in some small ways, and in small ways I have also made the world a better place. I feel peace that I have done what I could to make this world better and to help others. I am growing better, wiser, more loving and more successful as a human being. At age 55, I commit to continuing to grow better, wiser, more loving and more successful for everyone’s sake.
I am grateful for this opportunity to be at peace with my life and my Self, and I thank the Sacred Universe for being the Source of all my blessings.
May you enjoy the gift of life, as well as the gift of your Self.
Love, Peace, Bliss,
